Game Day Avocado Turkey Burger with Chipotle Mayo

Serves: 2

Estimated Time: 15 minutes

Equipment: knife, cutting board, measuring spoons, saute pan with lid

Ingredients:

2 Frozen natural turkey patties (such as Simple Truth Organic, or Jennie-O )

1/3 ripe avocado

1-2 thick tomato slices

1-2 leaf lettuce leaves

3 Tbsp mayonnaise

1-2 tsp chopped chipotle pepper in adobo sauce

2 hamburger buns

Directions: 

1.  Heat saute pan to medium, place frozen turkey patty directly on hot pan (no need to thaw), cover with lid

2.  Cook turkey patties for 5-6 minutes, covered. Flip and cook for another 5 minutes, covered.

3.  While patties are cooking, chop chipotle pepper and add to mayo and mix (you can add some of the adobo sauce here as well). Cut avocado, place in a bowl and mash. Slice tomato.

4.  Once patties are cooked, place on bun, top with mashed avocado, chipotle mayo, lettuce and tomato.

Serve with veggies and dip and enjoy!
