Sunshine Smoothie

Equipment:  Traditional blender or smoothie maker

Ingredients:

1 Frozen, chopped banana*

2 oz Vitamin D fortified frozen orange Juice concentrate *

1 Cup pre-washed spinach or power greens mix

1 cup fortified vanilla unsweetened almond milk

1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder

1 Tbsp ground flax seed

4-8 oz water, to desired consistency

* Prep ahead tip: Peel and chop bananas ahead of time, place in freezer bags and store in freezer for up to 3 months.

* Prep ahead tip: Open 12 oz. carton of frozen OJ concentrate, cut into 6 2 oz. slices. Place slices in individual freezer bags and store in the freezer up to six months.

Directions: 

1  Assemble all ingredients and equipment

2  Place all ingredients in blender or smoothie maker and blend until desired consistency (~1-2 minutes)
