5 Minute Peanut Butter and Jelly Oats

Serves: 1

Estimated time: 5 minutes

Equipment: bowl, measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients:

½ cup quick cook oats

1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)

2 Tbsp natural peanut butter

2 Tbsp low sugar strawberry preserves 

½ cup strawberries

Directions:

1. Mix oats and milk in a small bowl, microwave for 1-2 minutes. Stir and cook for another minute or two, adding water to thin as needed.

2. When oats are cooked to desired consistency, add peanut butter, preserves, and top with fruit.

Approximate Nutrition Analysis: (made with 2% milk)

585 calories, 23 g protein, 80 g carbohydrate, 25 g fat, 10 g fiber, 250 mg sodium. Excellent source of Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, C, and K, calcium, copper, iodine, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, and zinc. Good source of iron,choline, folate, Vitamins A and E.
